A travel app I can't survive without

How Wanderlog organised my chaotic travel brain and made planning easy and enjoyable

Wanderlog is hands down my favourite travel app, saving me a mini planning meltdown. The app is equipped to make planning more enjoyable and is a great tool to use whilst sightseeing. With a feature for everything, Wanderlog allows you to map out your journey, share itineraries with friends, organise your reservations, track your budget, and so much more.

Best of all, you can explore other itineraries, get inspired and informed for your upcoming trips. Wanderlog offers preplanned itineraries, sharing top attractions, restaurants, viewpoints and more. Allowing you to explore others' ideas and personalise them to your liking. Wanderlog provides global recommendations, whether you're travelling to Japan, Iceland or Costa Rica, they have you covered. Not only can you access Wanderlogs ideas and itineraries, but you can also see other users and friends, allowing you to be inspired by other travellers.

Follow me on Wanderlog to see my past, present and future travel itineraries, on @giorgiat05 for my Scandinavian summer, my Brussels to Bruges adventure, my budgeting around Bangkok and more. The app is easy to use and navigate, operating similarly to Google Maps. You can search locations, pin them and get directions. But what sets them apart is the ability to create lists of pins and the visualisation of your trips.

The most unique feature of Wanderlog and my favourite is the location pins. The coloured and numbered pins create a visual map, and the dot-to-dot effect allows locations and their distances to be put into perspective when planning your journey. Allowing you to see what is near you and the best route to see the most attractions. Allowing you to visually organise your jam-packed itineraries and prevent a planning breakdown, from the overwhelming volume of attractions.

The list feature is great for creating itineraries and organising different aspects of your trip. Personally, with every trip I create a list for where I'm staying, places to visit, which can even be broken down into landmarks, attractions, nature spots and more. I also create lists for places I want to eat. As a vegetarian, it's important that I pre-plan so I have options that are vegetarian-friendly. I always create a list for cute photo spots so my Instagram gets fed too. The app even has public bathrooms as locations that you can pin in advance to save you the hassle on the day.

The pin feature adds all locations on the map in the corresponding list colour (which is customisable), making it easy to differentiate different pins on the map. The list/pin feature numbers your locations; the order can be changed, allowing you to organise what you visit first as number one and optimise your route. This helps visualise your journey and track what you have and haven't seen whilst sightseeing.

If you want to offload your travel planning stress, download the app; it’s completely free, so you have nothing to lose. You can access it via the link https://wanderlog.com/. Happy travels, and I hope to see your future travel itineraries on Wanderlog.
